πΏ Finding Joy in the Midst: A 30-Day Gentle Journey
A soft practice for anyone feeling tired, overwhelmed, fragile, or just quietly in need of a gentle structure and a bit of company.
πΏ Hello, lovely! Iβm Nospheratt and this is Joy Every Week - a weekly quest to find joy in everyday things. Youβre receiving this either because you subscribed or someone forwarded it to you. Enjoy! :) πΏ
Like I said last week, Iβm dealing with a whole, entire lot.
A big transition. An unexpected move. A period of going through the hard that has fucked me up like few times before in my life.
Seriously. Iβve been dealing with depression and anxiety pretty much since forever, but this was the first time I learned what it feels like to have an extended panic attack that lasted days.
That was an interesting experience, and gotta tell you, do not recommend. π
But Iβm here, Iβm here, I am still here. And that is not nothing.
So β even here, in the hard, and the busy days, and sleepless nights β I still look for joy.
Not the loud, glittering kind. But the quiet, small flickers: soft breeze dancing with my hair. A free bench at the park, right next to the murmuring fountain. A tiny new leaf. Old notes and yellowed photos.
That moment when the heat breaks and you can breathe again.
A cold spell of rain.
Iced tea and a coffee milkshake.
All those small things call to me. Maybe they are the voices whispering: you are still here. You are still here. Donβt give up.
Itβs not easy, but I donβt want to lose my joy to the darkness of panic and the busyness of moving.
So today Iβm beginning a small daily ritual, and I am inviting you to come along with me. π
πΏ Joy in the Midst - An Invitation.
For the next 30 days, Iβll post a short daily Note on Substack: a simple photo and a few words about something joyful, gentle, beautiful, or true.
Nothing fancy. Just noticing.
Connecting with joy, taking a moment to be still and breathe.
π± I am inviting you to join me, in whatever way feels good or possible for you.
You can follow along my Notes, post your own Notes, leave comments here, or simply read and let my tiny joys keep you company.
πΏ Daily Themes
I created a daily theme list to guide me β so I donβt need to come up with things on the spot, since Iβm short of time and energy these days. Some examples:
Todayβs smallest good thing. A tiny joy.
The first thing that made me smile today
A still moment I didnβt rush
The roots that sustain me.
Joy, spotted in the wild.
Let the mess be beautiful
Thereβs no signup. No prize. No pressure.
Just a gentle anchor. A way to return to yourself through noticing small joys.
πΏJoin me?
Iβd love for you to join me and keep me company. π If youβd like to, you can:
Follow along on Notes, and reply to me if something resonates
Post your own Notes and tag me
Comment here and tell me whatβs giving you joy every day
Share this invitation with someone whoβs going through a rough patch. π
πΏThatβs It For Today!
This is for anyone feeling tired, overwhelmed, fragile, or just quietly in need of a gentle structure. Or a bit of company.
Letβs notice whatβs still sparking our joy.
Even in the middle of everything. π
